How does the machine know what items were taken out?

How do you pay?

Our machines accept all major credit and debit cards, along with Apple Pay. They do not accept cash or coins.

When someone taps their card or phone for payment, the system runs a preauthorization check to make sure at least $10 in funds are available. They will only be charged for the items they take. The preauthorization is there to simply make sure they have a valid form of payment.

Prepaid debit cards are prohibited.

What if someone is charged for an item they didn't take?

Just like traditional machines that eat your money or not dropping an item, our machines are not perfect but they are pretty close.

In the event there is an issue, each machine is equipped with a unique QR for customers to submit a refund request directly with us.

The models of machines we work with have been thoroughly tested and have over a 99% accuracy rating when items are taken from the machine. Each transaction is recorded so we can always check the tape when needed.
